Antique Mall Find and Stain Remover

Mom and I went to AntiqueLand in Plano the other day and I couldn't help but be drawn to every quilt in the place. Among some quilt tops that need some love for $15, I found this beauty that needed less love for $40. I asked Mom if she wanted another quilt in her collection for her birthday? Done deal. She took it home and soaked in in her magical stain soak overnight. Let me just say that the water was disgusting and most of the stains came out. What's the concoction you ask??? Powdered Cascade dishwashing soap and laundry detergent. I personally use BIZ for my stains and funky smells left in my scrubs after working in the cadaver lab. Works like a charm...even for fabrics that have bled! Gotta go! The boat and lake are calling!

I need to start doing that! Some of the hubs' shirts come home fairly nasty. Wonder if that works on chocolate milk stains?

My mother used to always use cascade in her wash. I'd forgotten about this tip, thank you for the reminder!
