I was sewing over at Nanna and Grandaddy's after my delicious birthday lunch (Steve and Greg's, too!) and she leaned over and asked, "How much to do you have left?" And I replied, "This last stitch!" What a glorious feeling! The feeling that I'm free to move on to the next project!
I did this label early enough to secure it under the binding, but next time I hope to get in in the quilting for better safe-keeping.
Here she is opening up the quilt top at her 80th birthday party!

Beautiful, Abby! I still have a cross-stich you made me after Kenya... must have been 1995? It has the cutest giraffe on it. You are so talented!
Your quilt is beautiful. I have recently fallen in love with this star and I'm thinking of making a full star quilt!
