Stuck

I can't find my camera-to-computer transfer cord thingy and I have 2 finished quilts that I need to document. I feel "impotent and out of control. Which I really, really hate." (name that movie) I've done the obvious searches: cushions, under couches, closets where my husband likes to stash stuff when he "cleans", my disaster of a sewing room, my bottomless pit of a car. I could probably order one on ebay and get it in the mail before I find mine. It's a sad frame of mind, but it's true. My mom has a port that is compatible with our memory cards. I'm really jealous of that port right now. I just checked my laptop to verify that I indeed do not have said port. I'm going to browse ebay....

Does your camera have a memory card that you can insert into your PC (or printer) to download your photos? I actually prefer this vs using the camera-to-computer vs USB cord.

I know what it is like to hunt for something and not be able to find it. But I do tend to experience if I ignore it (my missing item) for awhile, it suddenly appears.

You may also be able to take your camera (memory card) to a local WalGreens, Longs, Costco...various retailers have photo kiosks with staff that will help you download.

But feel free to email me and I'll try to help offline.

If your camera uses an SD or CF card, you don't need to use the cord. Go to any WalMart, Best Buy, etc. and buy a "card reader". They are less than $5 usually and come free with some SD cards.

It is a little hub that plugs into your USB port. Take your card out of your camera and stick it in the slot in the card reader and you can get your photos onto your computer that way. It's a lot easier!
