Labels
Today I made my first label. After failing to find a cheap way to have custom labels embroidered for me and also failing to justify buying an insanely expensive embroidery machine, I dug deep - back to the days when I'd spend the night at NaNa's and she'd teach me a sewing and/or cooking skill like all good grandmothers do. I embroidered it myself. Not too shabby. I printed it out in the font I wanted, placed the fabric over the paper in the hoop and traced with good old pencil (my wax markers wouldn't work) and then sewed over what I traced. Just a quick applique and I'm done. I will give it to Nicole tomorrow at Sunday lunch and move on to trying to convince myself that I absolutely have to finish NaNa's quilt in the near future.
