A Visit from Peter Cottontail

We found this little guy Good Friday evening crouching in the corner by our front door as if he was trying to pay us a visit. I ran and got my camera, scared the poor thing half to death, he ran around the house, and we found him by the retaining wall. Hope he's okay and found his momma!

After church and Easter lunch at Nanna's, I managed to get this quilt pinned and ready to go. I forgot that I had bought fusible batting just to give it a try, and I ironed it on. Didn't feel too comfortable with leaving it at that, so I went ahead and pinned. It was a nice way to get everything lined up and nice and smooth before pinning, though. Not sure if that's worth the extra $2...I just can't bring myself to machine quilt it. I'm such a chicken! It'll take a while, but out comes the quilting hoop! Besides, I bought red hand quilting thread for this project and it must be used : ) So much better with the 5th row!
And the back....nothing fancy. I should go ahead and get the label ready to go while I dig through boxes trying to find my quilting hoop. I hate moving.
2 more tests this week and then I get a little break. Sounds like a good time to quilt and get this one finished before the end of April!

aww, he's such a cute little bunny! I've been seeing so many of these stacked coin quilts, I think I'm going to have to make one myself! Yours is a beauty!
